Hi, I’m Heather

I know what it feels like to think you’re doing everything right for your health, only to be blindsided by symptoms that just won’t resolve.

After a decade of making soap, baking gluten-free biscuits, and sharing my wellness journey on Mommypotamus.com, I started experiencing health challenges that were eventually traced back to hidden stressors like mold exposure, along with weak links in metabolism that made it harder for my body to handle the load.

I spent years trying different protocols and holistic treatments, but the relief never really held.

Eventually, I stopped asking “What should I try next?” and started asking a different question: What is keeping my body from responding to these things that should be helping?

That shift led me to the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® program, where I learned to assess patterns across hormones, digestion, detoxification, energy production, immune activity, and stress response – and how imbalances in one area can drive dysfunction in others.

I became my own first client, and used my training to identify the hidden stressors and weak links that had been keeping me stuck, then restore function in the systems that needed help most. With the right pieces in place, my innate healing capacity began to respond, and I finally started seeing lasting changes in how I felt, functioned, and recovered.

Now, as a Board Certified FDN-P, I use that same investigative approach to look beyond symptoms, identify where function may be compromised, and create practical, personalized strategies that support function instead of chasing symptoms.

If you’ve been doing everything you can and still feel stuck, let’s find out what’s been getting in the way – and help you feel good again.

I can help you with:

SEEING THE FULL PICTURE

We look across hormones, digestion, detoxification, energy production, immune resilience, and nervous system regulation – not just isolated symptoms, but how everything connects.

IDENTIFYING HEALING OPPORTUNITIES

From there, we identify patterns of compromised function, along with the hidden stressors and weak links in metabolism that may be contributing to how you feel.

SUPPORTING REAL, LASTING PROGRESS

Using that insight, we build a practical plan around the areas that need the most support, so your body has the capacity to respond, recover, and rebuild over time.

No. Functional Diagnostic Nutrition is an opt-in model of self-care. I am not a licensed healthcare provider and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, so services are not billed through insurance.

My practice is 100% virtual, so you can meet from the comfort of your home or office. Sessions are held over Zoom.

Yes. I work with clients who haven’t gotten the clarity or progress they hoped for through conventional approaches. My role is to look beyond symptoms, identify healing opportunities, and create a natural, personalized plan to help support the body’s return to better function.

Rebalancing the body takes time. Likely you’ve been feeling unwell for months or years, and it will take at least a few months for us to begin to turn your health around together. I make no guarantees, but if you are willing to put in the time and effort I ask of you, positive changes in energy, mood, sleep, weight, libido, and digestion can occur in as little as a few weeks.
